To participate in SCA’s humor writing contest, submit a short story that is no more than 2,000 words on www.sca.ucla.edu/sedaris-writing-contest by 11:59PM on April 7, 2010. The story can be on any subject, as long as it is funny, interesting, and completely original! Up to three winners will be chosen by the Student Committee for the Arts (SCA).
If you are chosen as a winner, your story will be featured on the SCA website, in The Daily Bruin, and in the Royce Lobby on the night of the Sedaris event.
Prizes will include a ticket to see David Sedaris at UCLAlive on May 5, 2010, an autographed copy of David Sedaris’ latest bestseller When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and more. You will not get your story back once it is submitted.
