tUnE-yArDs are a lo-fi/experimental indie band based in Oakland, CA. Leader Merrill Garbus plays the ukulele and uses electronic loop pedals to create loops of drums, while using her unique voice to create the basis for her songs. Her music combines elements of R&B, indie folk, and African musical styles, with often political minded lyrics. Backed by a bassist and 2 saxophones, her live shows are extremely high energy and get crowds dancing.

The openers are two up and coming bands from Brooklyn. In One Wind features complex harmonies and rhythms with interesting arrangements featuring a flute and bass clarinet. Big Tree is a more folk inspired band with upbeat sing-along choruses and catchy hooks.
