Visible People

In collaboration with UCLA Residential Life and the Asian American Studies Department, SCA presents:
Visible People!

Tuesday, May 22, 2018 @ 8PM, Doors Open 7:30PM

Northwest Auditorium on the Hill

Visible People will feature spoken word artists, musicians, and dancers!

The event was created as a response to the erasure of Asian Americans Pacific Islander (AAPI) people in popular film and media, as seen in movies like Ghost in the Shell, Aloha, and The Great Wall. It serves as a platform for AAPI student artists to express their stories – stories that are often denied visibility on screen. Representation is empowering. It shows that not only are these communities here but that their experiences and accomplishments are valid.

Snacks will be provided!
