SCA Spotlight: OWL FLY SOUTH at Bruin Plaza

SCA Spotlight Presents: Owl Fly South at Bruin Plaza // April 11 at 12 PM

Hello folks. To start off the quarter, SCA is getting involved with CAC’s Worldfest, a week of festivities from April 9th until April 14th. SCA’s Spotlight will be bringing you Owl Fly South, which will performing live in Bruin Plaza at on Wednesday April11th at 12 PM in conjunction with the Global Issues Fair that features different student groups and the projects they support around the world.

Owl Fly South is a two-piece band comprised of Ethnomusicology students, Braeden Henderson (guitarist/vocalist) and Oliver Dobrian (drummer). The band is known for rambunctious live performances that combine rock and roll with a strong influence of Americana and have spread to venues and music-making places all over LA. They have a strong influence from vintage vinyl music of the 60s and 70s combined with raw soul. The final product is a rock concert that you’ll enjoy.

If don’t hear their music bleeding through the windows of your Wednesday morning class, then you’ll have to catch them on the way to Panda Express afterward.
